I founded Gatehouse Publishing in March 2013. Gatehouse is a leading international publisher based in Singapore, but with offices in the United States and UK with a focus on travel, cuisine, the arts, and lifestyle. We regularly publish beautiful books with some of the finest chefs and leading artists and artisans working today. We bring together some of the world’s leading artists, thinkers, entrepreneurs, organizations and communities to produce exceptional book projects. We are especially drawn to fine production processes, as we believe books are more than the content within – they are an artistic expression in and of themselves. To this end we utilize the finest printers, designers and craftsmen for our products.
For over a decade, our boutique series The HUNT Guides has offered readers highly-curated profiles of the most unique, independently-owned eating, shopping and lifestyle experiences around the world.
We also have deep relationships with international brands who utilize our publishing expertise to bring their own book projects to life. We work with brands as varied as Art Stage Singapore, Audemars Piguet, Dell Computers, the Japanese Tourism Board, Miele International, Movember International Foundation, Wired Magazine and more. Gatehouse is able to deliver bespoke creative solutions for the lifestyle, culture, travel and luxury industries as well as provide custom content solutions to the world’s most unique brands. We also offer premium distribution services for leading independent publishers. Gatehouse has been featured in Monocle, Time, International New York Times, Martha Stewart, Appetite, Esquire, Robb Report, Expat Living, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Huffington Post, Forbes, Straits Times, Style, Time Out, New Zealand Herald, Vogue and more.
The HUNT is the evolution of the Eat.Shop guides that began life in Portland in 2003. These guides briefly went through a Rather Guides phase in 2011, but in early 2012, with a focus on expanding internationally, the guides took on a whole new set of clothes and The HUNT Guides were born. Now The HUNT Guides are part of the Gatehouse Publishing family and continue to support the most wonderful and unique locally and passionately owned businesses around the world. The HUNT Guides is proud to showcase cities spanning the globe, from San Fran to Sydney, Amsterdam to Hong Kong, Portland to Singapore.
Maayde is Arkansas’ first e-commerce site entirely dedicated to showcasing our State’s finest locally made products and the stories of the makers behind those products. Through Maayde.com, people throughout our State, the Country and the World will discover and learn more about the artisans, makers and craftsmen who call Arkansas home. We’ll be showcasing and selling products ranging from homemade jams and honey to fine turned wooden bowls and fly fishing bags, from screenprinted shirts and fresh pickles to artisan roasted coffee beans, from ceramic mugs and handcrafted sassafras brooms to our State’s finest moustache combs. Our product list varies as much as the people who call this great State home.
The Hive is Arkansas' premier coworking lifestyle space for creatives and entrepreneurs. Launching in August 2015, The Hive is being designed as a lifestyle destination that encourages creatives in a communal space. Through entrepreneurial programming and creative networking, The Hive is helping to drive Arkansas' creative corridor forward.
In 2011, I was part of the inaugural launch team for House of Genius | Singapore.
This global organization, founded by serial entrepreneurs Toma Bedolla and Tim Williams, brings together entrepreneurs and a diverse mix of collaborators from the community for an evening each month of disruptive thinking, supportive input, and creative new ideas. It is an entrepreneurial think tank dedicated to assisting the world’s innovators.
